I was happy enough with the repositioned windshield that I made a new set of brackets that are a bit more rigid. I made them from 1/2" aluminium flat bar. I added a couple 1/4" thick spacers to the bottom bolts for the windshield to tilt it back a bit more. With the windshield slid all the way down and all the way back there is nice clean airflow across the top of my helmet but I get a few insects on my visor. with it pushed ahead to the middle position my visor stays clean and the airflow is a lot less.
