That engine does not look like an air/oil cooled engine even though it appears to be. There are no cooling fins on the engine. It looks water cooled to me, wonder if they would end up replacing the DR200 with it in a couple years? Suzuki could use something in the category.

Wondering how to keep that heat exchanger clean, internally.Oil changes would e critical.
Weight savings,& fewer parts to maintain. My Honda atv,350 es had oil cooling assist.Air cooling fins
Just good sense.

I take it from the picture that this 250 has cast wheels with tubeless tires?? If the Versy's 300 had tubeless tires I would have already had one. If Suzuki will bring a few of these to the US I will guarantee them one sale.

What's up with the skirt/rear wheel guard? It fugly as hell, only on one side, and I'm missing why it might be needed. Except maybe for the asian markets.

Otherwise, looks like an improvement of the 250. 368 pounds claimed dry. Needs cooling fins with brushed edges though. Engines need to look like engines IMO.

And a 350/400 cc version for the US roads.

I wonder if the RM-Z 450 motor would fit?

One positive, we'd never get water in the oil cavity . One pump drives everything.

It's a saree guard.

Just like a DR650, DRZ-250 etc keeps those clean ... you change the oil maybe?
Main difference vs DR650 is the temp is thermostatically controlled and adds a cooling fan and thus no need for fins on cylinder. Changing oil drains the fluid. If you let enough crud accumulate in the oil to contaminate the cooler you will have engine failure well before that becomes an issue.

Suzuki did this with the early GS & gsxr designs. It's not alien tech and won't deliver otherworldly performance but it is solid engineering.
My '03 GSX1100G had the oil cooling. Worked well.
Oil changes were a bit higher... It held 5.3 quarts.
