I have a quick update on windshields - found a solution that >90% works for me. For reference I am 177cm / 5'10" with a 74cm / 29" inseam, so short little legs but tall torso, like someone who was 185cm / 6ft 1" tall.

Using the Givi Airflow, I put a couple of spacers (5mm rubber, 3mm nylon = total 8mm or ~5/16") at the bottom and just a single 1.5mm ~1/16" at the top. Credit goes to Jakob2803 for suggesting the spacers, thank you!

I tried it at the lowest setting and that seems to be a very good combination of air during the summer but quiet up to 60mph / 100kmh and at 70mph / 112 kmh I just duck my head forward a tiny bit for a bubble of calm-ish air.

When I purchased my DE earlier this year I optioned the taller touring screen from the RE (road) version. This was better than standard but still not good enough. I then installed a Givi Airflow as I have one on my DL650 and I also added some Ali Express windscreen adjusters. I now think that I am happy - not perfect but pretty close. For reference I am 6' 1" tall. I guess it is really a case of experimentation as we are all different.

Out of sheer frustration and trying the givi airflow, aliexpress plastic side airflow adjustment, aftermarket height adjustment bracket , I inverted the windshield which directed the flow of air to my helmet and eliminated buffeting. Still looking for a more elegant solution

Has anyone tried the DE screen on the road (RE) version? I heard it helps with buffeting…
The DE screen might be smaller, but it still has a lot of turbulence. I haven't tried the RE to compare, but the stock DE screen was not usable for me. I ended up putting on the spacers previously mentioned and it cured the problem.

Spacers would probably improve the turbulence. So far I've heard that it works great on the DE screen and the Givi Airflow. You can try out the principle by stacking some washers between the windscreen and the bracket.

Yes, my RE came with the stock DE screen dealer installed. They stole if off a DE to replace the missing stocker. It kept the wind off my chest, little protection to your helmet. I switched to the larger optional RE high screen. I liked it better more protection less wind on my helmet, but still a little short.

I'm currently running the Givi Windscreens D3125ST much taller wind goes completly over the top of my helmet. It works good till about 60 mph, starts to get noisy (turbulence?) by 70 and is not rated for above 80 mph. I suspect the square corners to clear the factory hand guards at full turn maybe the issue.

Try spacing out the bottom two screws of your windscreen, about 10mm to start. That might make a difference. Ideally 10+20mm spacing top and bottom.
