I've had a lot of luck with making these spacers for the stock windscreen.
It moves the screen forward as well as angles it back a bit. The point is to let a lot more air through the bottom of the screen. Really cuts down on turbulence.
I've had good feedback from people here in Europe as well as from the US

My point is that I think the stock screen can be really useful, if you space it out.
If anyone is interested let me know, but otherwise I think you can achieve a good result by just stacking some washers.

I finally came to an acceptable conclusion that worked well enough for my ride to Maine. I used Kydex and formed a couple deflectors for the bottom corners of the Givi Airflow base screen. They're attached using 3M two sided foam sticky tape. The wide deflects off to side more and not up my arms and torso as much. As an added layer of wind deflection, I ride with my mirrors in a vertical position.

I can't tell you what a relief it was to finally get acceptable wind management. I swear, I was ready to trade in my bike the days leading up to my trip because I couldn't work out a solution and fretted riding 2800 miles getting my head batted around.

Did you print theese? if yes can i have the file to have a friend print it for me?
Thanks
Yep I designed and printed these, also do them for the 2017 onwards Vstrom 650.
I'm selling them so I am not giving out the file. :) I am sure your friend can draw up something similar. The important thing is to get more air in through the bottom of the screen. The stock rubber grommets are pretty flexible so you can also tilt the screen back a bit.

How does one order them from you? :)

Are you interested in selling me a pair of those spacers?

Do you print those in black ? I’m interested in a set if the shipping isn’t ridiculous.

I am 6' tall and bought a used Suzuki tall screen off ebay and ordered a Chinese adjustable rail off ebay that allows the tall screen to adjust up and down with a quick turn of a allen wrench as needed.
I have the 24 800 DE and have put on 2400 miles in the last 3-4 weeks and am now happy. I use a adventure full screen helmet and like the results. Off road I can adjust down if I want. Works for me.
How hard are these adjustable rails to adjust on the fly? Does the windscreen need to come off? So far I'm okay with the stock windscreen on my 800 (not DE), but was planning to get the Givi Airflow which I have on my 2017 SV650 (universal version). If it's easy to adjust on the fly, then I might consider one of these rather than the Givi.

It’s easy. I adjust every time I’m riding depending on riding conditions: Highway, off-road, rain. Just flick the two locking levers up, tug on the top of the screen, then lock the levers - all done one-handed.

That sounds like the Givi Airflow adjustment which I'm familiar with (I have it on my SV650). I was asking about the adjustable rails that Schu mentioned.

I am 6’4” tall which required some windshield change and modification. I installed the tallest touring windshield from VStream, an eBay windshield deflector, and adjustable screen bracket…..all is good, smooth, and pretty quiet.

I just want to add that these spaces work great, I'm using the Puig screen and added these spacers, its made a massive difference and pretty much eliminated the wind buffeting. They are well made and I'd recommend them. Thanks Jakob2803 (y)
