as i am about to enjoy my 2nd full week with the 2009 orange wee, i'm realizing various changes that i need to make to my motorcycle needs.

my kawasaki z750s all weather cover will not fit the wee.

i store the bike in my building's underground garage but i live in an urban setting and often bring the motorcycle cover since most folks won't take what they can't see.

so with or without a 40-42 liter top box, what all weather cover do many of you s-t-er's employ?

thanks in advance for any info you care to share.

be well.

I have two motorcycle covers that work well, a Nelson Rigg and one from Wal-Mart, and both are for large touring motorcycles. I used to use them with my GL1800 Gold Wing, they work with my Wee with a top box. I just make sure to tie the bottom edges together with a short, light bungee cord, under the bike so it won't go anywhere if the wind comes up. And both of them roll up small and compact for easy packing in a pannier.

I had a lightweight cover from Dowco (I think) that tore up in a wind storm. It worked really well up to that point though.
Now I have a Walmart special. I got the biggest one they had for trailering a motorcycle. Up until my recent move south my bike was stored outside all year in Connecticut. As an all year rider I didn't want to have to put it into storage and couldn't convince the wife to let me put up a portable garage thing. That cover works really well with my JC Whitney top box but it is heavy. It always pulled my mirrors out of position and after one really big snow storm I had to readjust my MadStad bracket. It has lots of straps to keep it snug on the bike during windy conditions.
