Besides BC, Washington and Oregon have some of my favourite roads! I'm assuming you get to ride the west coast from time to time?

Yes, i get to the coast once in a while. From Kennewick, WA it's about 5-6 hours to get there. Haven't been in about 3-4 years though, been riding east of cascades mostly.

2meters makes me think you're either tall or into amateur radios.

 

Not the first time someone has asked me if I'm an amateur radio enthusiast! Your first guess is correct - 200cm (6'7") is my height.

5-6 hours is a bit of a trek to the coast. Looks like you have some decent riding right at your back door?

I'm further north in the Skeena Valley.

 

I am now the proud owner of a 2009 DL1000! Picked it up on Friday and rode a good chunk of the weekend. Absolutely loving it so far !
Over the winter I'm hoping to replace the clutch basket (already spent lots of time learning about that on this forum), new windshield and new tires.
First time owning a v-twin and I absolutely love it.

Yes, we have some good riding here. But camping where I can sleep to the sound of the surf is what draws me coastward once in a while.

Just Bought a DL1000

I just picked up my first Suzuki(2002). I traded my older Ducati ST2 for it. Looking forward to many miles on it!

Ah, the grin. The Vstrom is the only bike to put the same intensity grin on my face since 1967 when I was privileged to ride the shop's Norton P-11 at the end of each day when the boss would toss me the key and tell me the bike needed a good run, "go and it it stretch its legs a bit" he'd say. Being an obedient employee I gladly complied.
