KLR foot pegs

I recently installed a gear shifter from a DR650. It fits up nicely, but despite having size 13 boots, I have to slide my foot almost off my foot peg to shift. I don't like it.

Now that I am considering putting KLR foot pegs on, I am wondering if there will be an unexpected problem with them. Funny angle, spring not working correctly...

There is a much pricier option that I may go with if the KLR pegs aren't a perfect fit.

Most off road pegs I've used have been wider than factory pegs. I tried a set of Moose KLR pegs on my Vee, and their width made the shifter too short. That may be what you need to make the DR shifter work. I've also cut and re-welded shifters, so that's another option.

I put my old off-road KLR pegs on my strom. The shifter is a bit close now, but not bad. I am only a size 10 boot, so bigger will have more problems.

The strom springs worked on the metal pegs, but only if installed the springs "backwards". They do not spring down as flawless as the stock pegs, but I am used to not even having springs.
