Ok, thanks so much Greywolf for taking the time to help, but I figured out that I had forgotten to re-attach the plug to my air box. Hooked it back up and error gone. Do I need to still take it in to service, or am I alright?

You're fine. Turning off the bike resets minor error codes. If it doesn't come back, you fixed it.

I check the FI codes before I started the bike up yesterday. Had a FI code, looked at my service manual. Found the plug I didn't connect plugged it in and wa la, back in business.

Imagine if it was the old days and there wasn't a way to read the code? Or if there wasn't a code at all? Imagine how much of a PITA it would be to find the error!

This thread was very helpful as I removed my airbox to wire my gps to the lead underneath. I put it all back together and got the code. Sure enough I missed plugging the wire back into the airbox. Problem fixed now. Appreciate the posts.
