Cogent is good stuff. I swapped out my stock shock on my previous Yamaha FJ-09, and it was a day and night difference. Pricey, but very good. Congrats!

Have a Wilbers on a Bandit 1250 with 40k mi on it, and a TFX on a DR650 ~15k mi. Both are excellent.

 

Well I contacted them how do you like the shock now that yo have had it for a bit ?

 

I'm thrilled with the quality and function. It was an easy install and the provided spring is more than enough for my typical ride. I took a lot of 'spirited' rides on OH-555 before December and shock did everything I expected. Quick recovery after bumps, no fade in dampening after several hours of riding and easy adjustments while I was getting everything dialed in.

 

Still trying to justify the cost of the shock but one hospital visit is not cheap and at 66 the body doesn’t heal quickly.

 

Did you change the front springs in the forks ? I’m only 155 with gear on so I’m thinking I’ll just use them for awh as they are .

I installed Andreani Misano Rally cartridges in the forks.

I am very happy with the forks. Springs are just a little stiff but I figure they will settle in with more miles. I ride with 35 L Mosko Moto bags, and all my gear, every ride and the bike handles bumps much better than the stock set-up. Not an "off road" rider but do occasional gravel roads with the usual ruts and pot holes. Suspension recovers quicker from hits, and doesn't bounce multiple times like the stock stuff did.
