i purchased the adventuretech kick stand plate and found the screws extremely difficult to tighten. i had to use my 3/8 drive rachet with hex sockets to get it in, and even then i ended up stripping two of the heads.. anyone else have this much issue?

Used a ratchet but no issues as far as the bolts/nuts threading properly, took 5 mins to install. Sounds like you need to get a replacement.

A while back (a long while) when installing my center stand it seemed hard to get the bolts started until I figured out I had cross-threaded the things. Now I never start to torque the bolts or screws until I have hand threaded/started the bolt/screw (if possible). Not saying that's what happened here just my .02... :)

I was able to hand threa d the screws until the loctite patch. Then it became difficult. No biggie though. Its on. I don't plan on taking it off.

I found the increased thickness of the foot made the bike stand too upright. I was concerned that it might fall over in certain situations. I took it back off and removed the kickstand, cut off the foot on the stand at the weld, and welded the thick portion of the foot directly to the shaft of the kickstand. The overall length it now the same as the origanal stand, and works perfect.
