Adventure Tech Lights Installed!

Here are some pics of the completed project, AdventureTech light bar and LED's. These are the newer square shaped lights but still fit well within the turn signals and crash bars. Pretty much just watched Richland Rick's videos, and started to it.

Probably would have been smart to watch it one more time, I would have learned to put the Horn mounting bolt in to hold the light bar at the right angle.

Overall the the wiring harness is great, but some wires were just too long and shortened them as part of the cleanup process.

I'm using one of the wires off the BackOff XP brake light modulator for a switched source which is connected using the Eastern Beaver adapter.

Can't wait to check them out some evening this week.

See ya, TRM

The bars are from Twisted Throttle / SW-Motech. Went on pretty easy and were compatible with other skid plates.

Hoping to have time for an evening ride soon so I can see the lights impacts.

Thanks, TRM

I know you said nevermind, but my handlebar switch does seem to be backwards where the lights are on the switch light is green and "off" and when off the led is red and "on".

Not a big deal, I just look at the color.

I'm in conversation with the supplier of the wiring harness. We will get a new batch and step up the QC.

Eliminating the switch by using the high beams to trigger the lights is a popular options. It makes it easier when waiting behind cars at stop lights. You only have to dim the headlight to turn off the auxiliary lights.

I was wrong. Painful to admit. Ha!!

With the Blue Wire switch I have....

Red LED on right illuminates when lights are off, but wording says ON.

Green LED on left illuminates when lights are on, but wording says OFF.

So, it looks like the wording is simply backwards. I cured this with a sharpie.

Sorry all to mis communicate.

Otherwise, excellent kit, workmanship, and support.

J have also bought the light set to my Wee 2 2014, and J currently are mounting the light set. J wonder how to find the right switcing source and how to connect it.
Many thanks in advance.

As a follow up to my last post on these......

All cured! This is an outstanding kit. The switch I had at first had an issue that was quickly cured with a new one from Rick. It was a manufacturer's issue, not a Rick or AdventureTech issue.

Also, been through many rain showers with these and the water tightness is perfect. I also like the combo long range beam and short wide flood. Very bright and I get the best of both worlds.

Great kit, great fit, great service and much less expensive than the others.

Im having a little trouble getting my kit to work. I have no power getting to the lights. I hooked the white wire to one of the connectors on my Eastern Beaver power center. I have power at the EB connector but nothing is coming to the lights. I is acting like the relay is not energized. The EB connector has two leads power and ground, I am only using the hot side of the connector. Should be working just like a hot lead to the lights. Any ideas?

Update, I had changed the switch to a handlebar toggle and I had it connected incorrectly. Operator error!
