Finally....some great weather in Colorado!!!

Well, it was nice to finally get out for a day of riding. Seems the travel with my new job or the late winter weather has derailed any day that I have had all spring......

Today (Sunday) was absolutely beautiful.

I am really looking forward to this year's riding season. Two weeks until Moab!!!! Then to the National StromTrooper in Montrose, CO. Then to the Rocky Mountain Adventure Rally. Then to the Big Dog Ride. Plus....a lot of riding in between!!!!!

Garden of the Gods, up Rampart Road to Woodland Park......Nice little two-up ride with the wife. Pike's Peak in the background.

Yeah no kidding on the weather - I like winter in Colorado but enough already!

We took a shakedown run to Cripple Creek with the new side bags. No fitment problems at all. ...well except for me having to hike my leg a little longer when mounting the bike to keep my boots off the bags.

I'm finally home for a couple days. Lots to catch up on, but a ride will fit in there someplace.

I was just starting to get some things done around here this morning; Thats when a friend stopped by with another Harley guy, they were headed out to Limon for lunch, So much for getting things done around here. I hopped on the Wee, and headed out. Spring time on the plains!!!!!!! Yep, beautiful, green feilds and rolling hills. What a nice day. I couldn't help but think about all the centurys of buffalo hunts that have gone on, and the changes that have happened to the area since that ended, less than 150 yrs ago. Since they were on Harleys, I didn't get to explore some of the county dirt roads, but need to head back for some of that.

A friend and I bailed on work today and took our Stroms down to Trim-a-nad and rode the Highway of Legends the long way back to La Veta. From there we took La Veta pass to the summit and then some unpaved route to Westcliffe.

As usual, I took my camera but not a single photo . I've really got to get the habit of taking pics when I ride.

Anyone have plans for riding Saturday or Sunday?

PM me or post here if anyone wants to ride Saturday or Sunday (22nd or 23rd). I'm sure I'll do something but I don't know what. Maybe the Cripple Creek/Canon City loop along Shelf road and Phantom canyon.
