LA area back to Vegas

My kid and I will be riding from Vegas down to Disney to meet family on Halloween weekend.
Any interesting ways back to Vegas other than I-15.
I know the La Crest area burned up, is the fire out and road ride able?
Been wanting to ride that area for a while and kid has not had his new ZX-6R in twisties yet.

OK, sitting here looking at the Madmaps Los Angeles area.
Ride #6 the San Bernardino Mountains.
Did they have fires too?
Thinking take the 91 over and catch that route south on the 10 and work up around Big Bear, Crestline to Cajon and then North on the 15.
You guys know the area is this ridable then or is it getting snow by Halloween.
The Ole 66 isnt really showing too much on my maps.
Ordering the 66 madmap for the future.

Mike,
My Rt 66 map shows - depart Santa Monica on #210 to San Bernadino take 215 to I-15 to Victorville then #66 to Barstow continue #66 past Pisgah Crater to # 95. Take 95 to I-40 take I-40 to Topock and then back on 66. 66 continues to just north of Seligman where 66 follows I-40 to Albuquerque. then it follows I-25 to Vegas

That info may not help you, but I was able to finish my breakfast while I typed it.

There normally isn't snow in the San Bernardino Mtns at the end of October and it is a nice ride through the area.

Ride Safely!

That sounds fun.
Would have to create a Strom 66 logo
Strom riders could join in and drop out along the way.
