Idle/Stall problem - Need guidance

Hey all:

I have a DL650 (I live in Tucson). I bought it used with only 4k miles on it. After highway rides it will sometimes stall when I downshift or engage the clutch. Usually after any ride the tachometer drops to low idle speeds. Anyone know what's going on?

The two main reasons for a 2004-2006 DL650 to stall or idle poorly are the idle speed being set below the recommended 1300rpm or a worn out throttle position sensor.

For a 2007 or later model, the main reasons are the clutch lever switch being bad, bypassed, unplugged or otherwise not working properly and the TPS.
Later models have an ISC valve to control the idle speed which can be reset but not modified.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
