While we hope for a local resident to answer, what kind of problems are you having?

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Thanks for replying to my message. Low an oil and engine tightening up and running rough. Nervous about riding to Alamosa. I think it's the closes city to get repairs from the Sand Dunes

Add some oil. You can use any 10W-40 oil from a gas station to bring up the level safely. How low was it? Did you get an oil pressure red light?

I can just barely see it at the bottom of the bubble. No lights came on.

I've been worse once when it fell down upside down and slid off a mountain trail....

I assume you are standing the bike straight up and down when looking in the sight window. If the bike is leaning on the side stand, it's likely you won't see any oil at all with the oil filled to the proper level.

You haven't caused any damage yet with low oil. Add more until it is at the top line when the bike is straight up and down.
