The R&B ride and your invited!

R&B tour to Torey
25 July 2014
This is an ongoing event that gets people to the UBBC sponsored Vapor lock rally AKA Seely Summer Shindig. You do not have to attend both events. There is no charge to ride. There is a dinner meeting with the UBBC Saturday night that you will have to pay a small fee for the food if you attend.
The R&B ride has been a yearly event for the last 13 years.
The UBBC Vapor Lock rally has been going on for the last 24 years.
This ride is a 400 to 450 mile ride that covers several award winning twisted roads in Utah.
The normal pace of the ride is an average of 55mph including stops. However slower riders have taken on this adventure with great success. Most of the time there are three groups that stay to gather, slow riders, fast riders and where the hell did you go riders. We will keep track of you if you are a slower rider. Maps and turn by turn instructions will be provided if needed.
This ride starts at Breakfast in Kamas and there are several stops along the way. Dinner is in the fish lake valley at the Bowery.
Most people stay at Thousand Lakes Camp ground and RV Park in Torrey, UT (they do have a small amount of cabins for rent. But they sell out fast.) They have some tent sights that fit two tents .Some people rent out a RV spot and pitch tents together. There are several hotels in the area and even a kiva for rent.
The next day there is an informal ride to Escalante on the UBBC Vapor Lock Rally. There are groups that split off to ride to a neat little slot canyon on the Burr trail (paved) and some that ride the whole thing along with the Notom Bullfrog RD. (most of this is dirt) The Burr Trail switch back are an unbelievable sight if you have not been there before.(3.3 miles of smooth dirt.)
On Sunday the ride is find your way home. Small groups get to gather and ride the roads they like home. There have been groups that do the North Rim or Colorado after this event. There may be some this year that you can hook up with.
If we have enough people that think that a chase truck will be needed we could arrange it. This truck could also carry your camping gear if required.

Partial map

For some odd reason google wont map a route from Kamas to Duchesne. good thing most of us know our way to Hanna's.
I maped the Duchesne to And Drop Dead route as well as I could. I'm sure someone who knows the route better will fix my errors.

fixed your map.

I think that it will not let you use 35 to Hanna because it is closed for winter and that has killed people in the past. So point A is start in Hanna . when we will start in SLC or Kamas.
Stops points, C,G,I,L,N,P.
major turns points, B,D,E,F,J,K,M,O.

I'm a tentative goer...
Do I need to reserve a tent site or will there be enough for a late committer?

Lets find out how many respond and we'll reserve then.
I also need to get to the main event planner and find out what he has reserved.
