Mike, I see the map but not the route.
You really are a slut for the sweet pastries!
Wish I were closer. The Vegas contingent seems to have some good day rides.
My day would be getting to the starting point and back to LA!

Actually the 18th I'll be in Heber Az at a BMW rally...on my Wee Strom.
Hoping to ride through Prescott and do Rustic Pie on Friday.
It's still a Pie Run though.

In June I hope to be in Panguitch for another rally on the Wee. Weekend of the 14th. Thanks really close for a pie run to the Thunderbird.
Thanks for the heads up on another location.

Rustic is worthy enough to be OK to miss the Thunderbird
Send me info of the Rally in Panguitch, I might do a Hoovers Run if I have nothing going on and stop by to say Hi!

I'm new to the forum and just looking around...how long is the ride from St. George. I just moved own last fall and picked up a vstrom 1000 about 2 weeks ago. Looking for more opportunities to ride. Don't know how much time I can spare that day, but definitely sounds like it would be worth setting aside part of the day. Never been to Zion yet either.

St. George to the Junction is about 65 miles. It could be done in 90 minutes or so, but Zion NP is an incredibly beautiful place that should be ridden slowly and often.

ps. welcome to the forum and the world of Stroms!

"Zion NP is an incredibly beautiful place that should be ridden slowly"

You get behind the tour buses and you have no choice but to go slow!
I've been there when it's so crowded we couldn't find parking for 3-4 bikes at the visitor's center. Zion is great without people though. The ride through is definitely worth the time.

You have a lot of GREAT Riding in your back yard.
Zion, Bryce, Brianhead the list goes on
Maybe we will see you, we will be stopping in at Cracker Barrel in St. George for brunch before we head towards Zion.
You might check into my2wheels.com, mostly Vegas guys but we have a few members around Southern Utah.
Also guys that ride through St. George heading up to get to cooler elevations and escape the Vegas heat.
