Fork Preload Adjustment

Adjusting the preload on the forks can damage the caps. The caps are made out of very soft aluminum. So I started by making a tool that would fit tightly into the slot. Then it came to me, if you raise the front wheel off the ground and unload the springs less force should be needed to turn the thread. What do you guys think. A centerstand is needed for this then prop the motor up until the wheel is off the ground.

I've got a fender washer that fits real well. Cheap, too. Handlebars are in the way, sorta... Unloading the front end seems to help.
