We are leaving Sept and so far I did on my DL650
-Valve job at 17000 now the bike is 18500 and will certainly be arround 20000miles at time of departure.
-change spark plug
-flush brake fluid front and back
-I will change the chain and sproket just before departure
-I will change brake pads front and back
-regular oil change
? should I have TBS done on it ( run great now)
-waiting for my new shock and fork spring
-waiting for new tires to be put on just prior departure
Anything should be done prior depature or is that pretty much all.
TSB. If it aint broke, don't fix it! Try to do all the work well before you take off. Must prove that all work and new parts actually work. Not to mention breaking in tires with some normal one up riding, rather than just loadin em down and heatin em up. If your going to go that far you could replace the light bulbs. Check all :fineprint: fasteners after the work and after the breakin as above.
How far and where are you going? Ride report expected .
No I just asked suzuki for a sponsor for my next RTW and they agree to give me a new bike and $100000 if we promess to have fun and talk nice about the bike :yikes:
