Spark plug replacement

Spark plug replacement on an 07 DL650 non ABS.

So when should it be done and what plug options do I have to choose from?

Looking to see when and what others have used and is it worth the money for high end plugs.

Not trying to be an ass, but do you not have a manual? Google will give you the info you need in seconds....

I'd like to know how long folks have gone between plug changes after installing irridiums?

It would be good info but these plugs are supposed to go 100,000 miles or more... so it could be a while to get usage data

How about the life of stock plugs for that matter? Looks like the manual calls for replacement every 7,500 miles for my K11, which seems extremely short lived from my experiance with other motorcycles. Is it just somehting the manufacturer puts in for emmissions compliance?

My K7 is still running on the originals ...close to 11,000 miles and I don't plan to change them until the 14,500 mile tear down when I check the valves. I have never in my life changed plugs at 7500 miles in any vehicle but it would be good to hear how long others have run the stock plugs.

The stock plugs should be good for a minimum of 20,000 miles. I replaced mine with Iridiums at 17,000 miles. The bike is now at over 60,000 miles and still on the same Iridiums.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
