Mystery Bolt

Found this teeny hex bolt on the garage floor near the front end of my Wee. Does anybody recognize it as something from the bike? Greywolf? I've never seen it before. Dime shown for scale.

It's not ringing any bells. What have you taken off or installed on the bike lately?

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Switchgear maybe? Check for empty holes there.

I was putting on a Madstad bracket when I found it, but there's nothing like that listed in the Madstad hardware and nothing like that that has to be removed. I'm kind of thinking it may have been dropped into the windscreen bracket "pocket" by the previous owner and when I removed the OEP bracket to install the Madstad, this little bolt popped out of its hiding place without me noticing right away.

I made a cursory check of items in cowling area but didn't see anything off hand. Maybe I'll get a dental mirror type thingie and poke it down in to see if there's something I might've missed.

It is from an aftermarket part from the previous owner. There are no fastenings like that on the front end of a DL-650.

Something that small could be from the instrument housing or a handlebar switch but Suzuki normally uses JIS (almost Phillips) screws for stuff like that and you say you haven't been in there.

Looks like one that holds on a headset boom for a CB on a helmet.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I didn't want the front of my bike to fall off unexpectedly.

I agree, no screws like that on a Strom that I've ever seen unless it is related to an aftermarket part.
