and bolts, etc.
So there I was: I have a new shock coming and was reading up on how to get the old one off my DL1000. My bike came with an SW-Motech centerstand which was limiting my options. Either remove the stand or remove the cushion lever completely.
After reading the forums on pros and cons of which way to do it, I decided to remove the stand so that I could grease the pivot points and give it an overall inspection.
What I found was all four bolts just past hand tight and NO locktite
Also, no grease on the pivot points so they are nicely spalled and rusty
I also noticed that the rubber cushion was pretty torn up and emailed to Twisted Throttle about it. $2.00 with shipping. It's nice that they stock the little bits and pieces along with the end-items.
The upside in all of this is that when it goes back on, I KNOW it will be right.
So, thanks to all for their previous posts
