DL650 Secondary Throttle Sync

I figured it wasn't a good idea to post a question in the how-to stickies, so I'll repost here...

After having the airbox off my '06 DL-650 anyway, I wanted to check the secondary sync just for the fun of it.

The service manual calls for leveling the front plate, but the actuator won't allow me to get there -- the plates stop while they are still tilted (about 1 mm front edge vs. rear edge). The STPS also seems to indicate this -- 0.90 kOhm fully closed vs. 0.58 kOhm spec.

It was suggested in this excellent thread that one could adjust the front valve as well:

I know the manual doesn't say to adjust for the front valve but it's good to know you can adjust it if for some reason it wasn't even after you manually closed the valves. (mine was fine)
-- but I haven't seen any reports of people actually doing that. So before I touch anything (nothing wrong with it otherwise) I'd like to know if there is any general wisdom on this issue. Not that there really seems to be a point in having a "fully closed" state anyway. ;-)

I'd simply like to know if anyone has indeed found a need to use that screw to adjust the front secondary plate, given that the service manual doesn't call for fiddling with it. I don't want to do something stupid just to satisfy my curiosity. That's all.
