clutch not working

Pulled clutch in feels to easy started bike in neutral clutch in put in gear bike takes off. any advise vstrom 1ooo 2002

Fluid in clutch m/c? Any leaks? Hose ok?

no fluid

no fluid will fill it up and check for a leak.

Your slave cylinder seal is likely toast. Common issue.

Start by taking the cover off the sprocket & clutch area and clean everything. Next, take a very good look. Report on what you see, what's moving & what should be moving but isn't, where any wet spots are.

Clutch oops.

I had the sticky clutch handle and almost did not make it home. Clean the sprocket area.

I doubt that little bit of crud was the culprit.

Mine's way worse than that after a only a week of winter riding. Slush and salt and sand are the slave's worst enemy.
