HiFlo Filters

Anyone have any opinions on this filter? The local Honda dealer uses this brand for all non honda bikes that come through service. Thanks,

Been using the HF138's for a couple of years now. No indication they aren't working.

John Weldon at VSRI took apart some filters to check for quality of construction. HiFlo made his recommended list.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

HiFloFiltro makes the K&N brand motorcycle oil filters. The local indie shop uses many HiFlo filters with good results. They also make an air filter for our bikes, but the last time I checked, no wholesaler distributed it in the U.S. The importer was willing to sell me a case of the air filters, but the case cost plus shipping averaged about the same as a Suzuki filter.

The local Honda dealer will order me 1 ea of the air filter for $25. I was quoted $56 by the local Suzu dealer.

Robbery. MRCycles.com lists the air filter at $39.95 list and $37.39 their price for the '04 air filter, and $49.72/$41.48 for the '08 part (which we know has no meaningful difference except a built-in gasket).
