Did the valve ck

Yesterday, I had it apart for some other stuff anyway. And it's time almost 15k on the clock. Snowing outside etc, etc, etc. So apart for heated grip wireing, new aircleaner, and the valve check. I lucked out, almost all valves right in the middle, or .001 loose from dead center.
So now afer shoveling, I'm warm up the garage, and put it all back together.
I put in new plugs also. I don't think they were needed, but since it's apart, and the book called for it, I wasted $20 on plugs. Oh well.

That is good. Just had the valves checked on mine. New plugs and it runs good. I am not brave enough to try the valves. I would have to find the shims. I think that the aggravation factor for me is worth having the shop check the valves.

The hardest part of the check is getting to them. removing all the stuff that is in the way. If then need adjusting, then that is a differant story. Not real hard, but you need some basic engine experience. Mine were almost perfect. So I lucked out. I think most are good when checked.
