I just purchased an 05 DL1000 with 600 miles. What are the must haves for this bike.

I center stand would be one must have for any motorcycle in my opinion ... and I second the "must ride and must have fun" as StromTech said-!!

Second would be a fork brace I found out.
Wonderful sounding bike you got. Nice low miles and not old at all.

If the meek inherent the earth who is going to drive the drag boats-?

I'd check the tires for cracks and decay. Six-year-old rubber can be questionable.

You may want to peruse the 1000 section of the site.

There have been some running issues of DL1000's of that vintage which can be remedied with some aftermarket parts.

Congratulations,

Norm

As stated before, just go out and ride and the rest will come. You will know what you need.

Just me but if you plan some distance riding a Russell Day Long seat. It does my 58 year old but good.
