coolant smell

I am having a weird issue with my'08 Wee. For the first few minutes after starting it, I can smell coolant. It is more noticeable in rainy/cooler weather.

My first thought was I am leaking coolant somewhere but that is not the case. I have no signs of a leak, my reservoir remains full and when warm, I never overheat; if anything the bike tends to run cool (only go to 2 bars unless sunny and/or hot).

In the rain yesterday I noticed steam coming from the small radiator but given the weather I wrote it off as cold rain on a hot rad.

Any clues what could be the issue here? FYI the Wee has 17K on it.

Check hose clamps in the area under your throttle bodies [thermostat area] common place for small leak and smell ..

Sometimes making a wrong turn just makes the ride that much better ,,, go an extra mile it`s not so crowded there!

Thank you, now I just have to find a manual to figure out where the throttle bodies are located

you can reach in with a small rachet from one side and a screwdriver from the other to get at the clamps , just tighten all you can find there are a few others that are sometimes a problem as well ...
