Not starting

Went for a ride on the Vee yesterday. Kinda slow to turnover but ran fine. Went out this morning and nothing but clicking from the starter. Replaced the battery; lights/ gages came on fuelpump does it's thing. Scoot turns over rapidly but does not start. Limited mechanical skills but would like to avoid the dealer if possible. Where do I start.

Key on, clutch in, crank the starter. If no engine start, don't turn the key off, just open
the throttle a little and crank it again. Just in case it's flooded.

Still no start? Maybe it's starved, turn the key to run the fuel pump, turn it off, turn it on
again before cranking to be sure of enough pressure for a start.

Still no start? Key on, turn the throttle a few times to full open and back to full close to cycle
the ECU throttle response. Key off, key back on and hit the start button.

Still no start? Remove the seat and find the terminal disconnected when replacing the battery.

No start update

Heard back from the dealer today. Turns out the PCIII crapped out after about 10,000 miles. Dealer claims that he doesn't stock them due to past complaints. He is to reprogram ECU. Will get the Strom back this afternoon.

My K2 runs strong, without hesitation, after ECU reprogram to fix lean spots
around 35,000 miles ago.

You won't miss that PCIII at all.
