Question first start of the day issues

2010 dl650 does not start first time of the day. Been checked out twice now at the dealer but no solution. Evidently there is going to be a recall on tis model, anyone heard anything about this?

Just open the throttle some if it doesn't start right away. There is no recall.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

Then what you have is not a common problem. It sounds like your dealer is making excuses for not knowing what to do. I take it you can start it. What do you mean by not starting the first time? Do you have to leave it sit, jump it or what? Did you actually try opening the throttle progressively while cranking, possibly to full open?

Hi
By saying the first start of the day i mean literaly that, it does not matter if it is early morning or afternoon, it will start everytime on the second push of the starter. I use the bike everyday for work so it can stand parked for 8-10 hours and always starts first time, its when its sat overnight that I have a problem. Ive tried opening the throttle when starting but usually does not help.
It's 2010 with 2800 ks for the first 1000 ks I had no problems. The dealer here has had orders to put a stop sell on thes models and that there is going to be a recall but the dealer does not know what the recall is about!
Thank you for your interest!!

That's just weird. It doesn't make any sense.

In a car, I would suspect a verrrrrry slightly leaky injector.

Also, are you waiting for the fuel pump to stop whirring before punching the button?
