Stole my friends Vstrom- again! (first post here) Need Help!

So like last summer I stole my good friends vstrom. See he doesn't ride it enough, or take care of it. I think I am just going to buy it from him, so I don't have to see it fall apart. Last year I took it to Colorado from my home in Norther CA, instead of my GS just so it would get a few miles on it.

Here is the deal though, I can feel a drag or hesitation when I accellerate out of corners, especially left hand corners. Chain is adjusted correctly, tire inflated properly, i just don't know what it is. Has anybody else had this problem. I honestly cannot describe it any better today. I was thinking of taking it out in a few and trying to zero in on the problem a little more.

I have my own lift and do alot of maintenance on my BMW's and my Victory. I have also had 10 + bikes in the last 15 years, but I was hoping someone might have already had this problema nd can point me in the right direction.

if it's only through corners the rear wheel may be cocked, the match marks on the swingarm are notoriously inaccurate.

if it really has more general hesitation otherwise there are some good threads on clutch problems and FI remapping you should check out here - this is just for the 1000, not the 650. GL doc.
