Angry Dl650 sputters and dies after all day ride then its fine after a couple days

This has happened twice now. After an all day ride the engine will start to hesitate for a second. Just a little bit at first, I think its just the wind pushing me around. But then it happens more often and harder until the engine is totally cutting out. And then finally it will just die and not start again. The first time it happened the bike sat for about a week and when I went to try to figure out what was wrong it started right up and ran fine. So I rode it for three weeks and all was good. Then I took it out for another long day ride and at the end of the day on my way home the exact same thing happened. I brought it in to the dealership and it ran great for them. They checked fuel pressure, tps, and ran a check on the computer, everything was great, they couldn't find a problem. Anyone else have this problem, this is extremely frustrating.

Even if the TPS tests okay, replacing it seems to solve that problem.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

So you've had the same problem and replacing the TPS fixed it?? How big of a job is that and where is the TPS?
