09 ABS Wee - changing brake cable

i just received an extended top brake line so that i can install my rox risers. i have never really messed with bleeding brakes.

any hints/tips on how to do this? its just the top line from the master cyclinder down to the splitter. will replacing this line affect the other lines coming out of the splitter? (i.e. can air get in those lines?)

if i drain the fluid from the master cyclinder, take out the old brake line, install the new line, fill up the master cyclinder and pump the brakes, will that fill the line without introducing air into the system?

any help/thoughts would be appreciated.

I am also planning on Rox Risers on my newly purchased (used) 2009 V-Strom 650 w/ ABS. Where did you get your cable? What size cable did you get and if you were to do again, would you purchase the same size?
Thanks, Tom
