difference between models

G'day All

new to V strom's and keen to learn
I have a K8 DL 1000 by the user manual or Dec 07 bt compliance plate on bike.
I have heaps of questions but the main ones are

1. where can I buy a after market service manual from? IE: like a haynes have google everywhere with no joy.
2. what is the difference motor wise between a K8 and realier models, I read lot about fuel mapping etc and I have added a set of staintune pipes to my bike

Don't know about the motors, but I do know most aftermarket shop manuals aren't all that great. I was working on my dads virago last year and he has a clymer or haynnes manual and it was very vague as far as details go. I have factory service manuals for all three bikes and have found they are the only way to go.
