Maintenance stands

Does anyone have maintenance stands for their DL 1000? I see it uses the same type as most sport bikes. I would like to be able to remove my tires for changing. If you have purchased stands, please let me know the brand and model numbers if available.

Thanks

I have rear spools installed on my Strom, and I have used my friends's Pit Bull rear stand.........works really good! He has the forward handle stand, and the Strom pops right up. I have the Suzuki centerstand now, but I left my spools on just in case.

I have Pit Bull stands front and rear. The rear has the pads, but I could use the spool adapter since I have one, I'd just have to purchase the spools or temporarily insert two 8mm x 40mm bolts.

I've had pit bull front and rear stands for years and love them with the sportbikes. The first time I tried to use them on my strom though I noticed the rear stand bent the stock plastic fender/mud guard a little too much. The soulution was to install the spools and use those instead of the swingarm pads. Of course you could just chop off a couple inches of the mud guard and use either.
As far as the front stand....I use the standard fork-lift pit bull, I found it works great on the strom just make sure you stay infront of the small extension on the base of the right side fork. My DL is my first suzuki and I believe the extension is just there to allow the space necessary for the type of front axle nut suzuki seems to use on alot of there models. Anyway stay infront of the little doo hicky on the fork base and use the spools and its rock solid.
Oh ya, I also went with the pit-bull spools, 8mm.....same as all the gixxers. good luck.

Hey Big B, you'll have to let me know if you manage to scrape the center stand in any left hand corners.....mention of this from others on this site has kept me from wanting one.....thanks.

I have both Pit Bull (spooled) and Handy (paddle) stands. I personally preferred using the Handy rear stand w/the Strom until I got the Suk centerstand.
