34,000 mile service

Just picked up my 07 Wee after having it serviced. New rear tourance, new sprockets and chain, spark plugs and rear brakes. Price of service with all the parts $454. Peace of mind knowing your bike is ready to go anywhere, priceless. This is my 4Th rear tire, 2nd set of chain, sprockets and spark plugs and my first set of rear brakes. The only other thing I have replaced is the stock air filter with a Uni. I had the first major service done at 17,000 miles. They checked my valves at that service and found them to be in spec. My mechanic told me not to worry about checking them at my 34,000 mile service. I change the oil myself every 5000 miles using Suzuki dinosaur oil and Suzuki filter.

your mechanic is a bonehead

valve inspection is the one service you don't want to ignore, plugs, throttle body sync and stuff like that will only make your engine run crappy

valve that are out (too tight ) will damage the engine and set you up for a hefty repair bill

they may or may not be out of spec, but you don't know unless you check

How true. Mine was tight when I checked them at I think 13,000 miles. Could not tell you how many other post have been tight at low mileage also. I would be suspect that they were checked at 17,000 miles.
