Oil Change with bash plate?

I did a very quick serch but came up with nothing. I am ready to change the oil for the first time on my 02 VEE. I bought it used and the oil was changed just befor I purchased it. My question is this, I installed crash bars and a skid plate. Do I have to remove the bash plate every time or can I leave it on? It was not an easy install, so I am hoping I don't have to remove it evey time.

Take a look at it. You'll be able to decide whether it needs to come off or not.
