Add some bungee points for zero cost.

I have made a dandy accessory for the V-Strom. It
doesn't cost anything, and it provides handy points
for rigging bungee cords. Take two scraps of nylon
webbing about one inch wide, cut them to about a foot,
round and heatseal the ends, and burn 3/8-inch holes
into each about 3/4 inch from each end.

Remove the seat and undo the forward two bolts holding
on the luggage rack; loosen the back bolts too. Fold
your nylon strap so it's just 6" long, and shove the
bolt through the rack and two thicknesses and put it
back. Same other side; tighten bolts, seat on, and you
are done.

Now you have handy places for bungee cords, just as I
do. Actually, I put two more at the back, but they are
not as necessary as the front ones are. There seems to
be extra length in the dangling loops, but that means
you can use high-quality cords with non-marring hooks,
and you can indeed put two hooks in each loop.
