Replacing fork seals on my 05 650, should I upgrade any stock components?

I bought my 05 DL650 close to two years ago with ~30k on the odometer. I ride it regularly but only short distances so it's sitting around ~35k right now. It does see a little dirt but mostly pavement.

I noticed that my left fork seal is leaking and judging by the stains on my garage floor it's been leaking for at least a couple weeks before I noticed it. I've read about the film trick but due to the age of the bike and the length of time the leak went without notice I'd rather just break them down and replace the seals and oil. I'm confident that I can replace the seals myself but I'm wondering if I should consider upgrading the springs or any other parts of the front suspension while it's all broken down.

If it matters I'm 6'1" and 210.

An oil change along with the new seals, should be enough for the average rider. A spring upgrade maybe an option, if you want to go off-road, two-up touring or riding with a luggage load. Perhaps https://www.stromtrooper.com/dl650-d...ck-advice.html might be worth reading?

I would consider replacing the bushings as well while you have the forks apart.

This is an excellent set of instructions: https://blacklabadventures.com/2012/...nt-fork-seals/

If you want some significant improvement, without the need to change the springs, get a set of Ricor Intiminators. I added them to my 2004WEE and they made it a lot better up front!
