Suzuki extended warranty

Has anyone ever bought at SEP on Ebay? A shop is selling them on Ebay for about two thirds the price. I identified the seller, and he is listed on the Suzuki page as an authorized Suzuki dealership. He also has several thousand feedbacks, 99% of which are positive. I am thinking of buying one, and I wonder if anyone has ever purchased one on the internet.

Why do you feel that you need an extended warranty? My bike is about 1 week away from the end of the warranty period. I never had a single issue, the whole time. Just regular wear, tear and prev maint. Most any serious problems, will usually occur within the first couple thousand miles. I would want the majority of dealers out there, touching my bike as "little" as possible. If you can perform basic maint and trouble shooting.....you should be fine. The Stroms are very dependable motorcycles!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the responses. My V-Strom runs well also, however my question was about people's experiences with extended warranties that they have bought over the internet. I am thinking about buying one, and I was simply wondering if anyone had bought one on ebay.

I don't know anything about the E-Bay warranty but the best price I have ever seen on OEM extended warranties is at Oneida Suzuki: http://www.oneidasuzuki.com/store/cu...tring=warranty

Maybe it is because he wants to sell it and it will get a better price if it is still under warranty. Maybe it is non of our business why maxmosbey wants a SEP.

I bought one for my Wing over the Internet and got a great deal on it. IIRC the seller did all the paperwork. I just had to give them the VIN number and in a couple of weeks I had the paperwork from Honda.

How much is the SEP from this dealer? If you buy from them let us know how it goes.

I was not thinking of getting the SEP but truth is for $270 for three more years like Oneida has is not bad. Heck I spent more on my engine guard and skid plate and they are just insurance parts too arn't they?
