Angry Nasty Sweak

My 04 wee has starting sweaking in a most annoying manner, which I think is coming from somewhere in the front of the bike. Any ideas?

How about some more info:
Only when moving?
Contstant or intermittent?
Only when compression of the forks occurs?
Can it be reproduced when moving the bike in the driveway without the engine.
Etc etc etc.... Details!

Sweaking occurs around 80km (50mph) disappears around 120km. It appears to lessen in the rain. Have checked all nuts, bolts and fasteners, no oil leaks, etc. I'm baffled.

Make sure your speedo drive is lubed.

I went through the exact same thing last year and it was the speedo drive. It gradually got worse over time and started at the exact same speed range you mention. Take off the front wheel. While the wheel is off check that the wheel turns freely on the bearings. If so put some grease in the speedo pickup and reassemble. That cured it for me.

Oh, you mean a "sweek." Now it makes sense.

It's like a "squick" on a Vee!
