Yamalube in a Strom?

Hey everyone.

I know there is a BIG oil thread here, but I did not see my specific question answered there (or via a search).

I'm normally a Yamaha guy, and I have quite a bit of 10W-40 Yamalube dino oil here. Although the consensus here seems to lean towards Rotella, anyone see any issues with using this oil in the Strom?

Here's what I have in the garage:

Any thoughts appreciated.

None, but while you are using it you have to call your bike a Yama-Strom

Good one!

OP: if it meets Suzuki's specs (and I bet it does), then it's fine.

The Wee's manual recommends 10W-40 with an API rating of SJ or SH, and a JASO rating of MA. The Yamalube is API SJ, and is JASO MA.

I take it based on this info that this oil should be OK. Thanks for the help guys! I should have just pulled the manual out to begin with.

I don't know man, I wouldn't mix them. If the bike rejects it you'll have a hell of a mess.

Nah, just make sure you use gasoline with ethanol. Alcohol suppresses the immune system.

I don't know ... the Strom has been cuddling up to the WR250R in the evenings when it thinks I'm not looking. I think it likes the little gal...
