DL650 2017 front cowling removal

Hello!

Does anyone have some information on how to remove the front cowling on the new Wee?
I have found the information that Greywolf posted on the push pins, but I am not sure if something else is required too.
My goal is to access the space (if any) behind the dashboard. If someone has already done this, would you please share any pics/measurements you took?

Thanks!
George

The owner's manual on the previous generation at least had pretty good information on the tupperware configuration. Have you checked there?

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Hmm, no, I didn't check it, because I wasn't sure if the design followed the same principles (apart from the push-pins, that is).

Thanks for the heads-up, Greywolf. Is the previous maintenance manual accessible for free somewhere? I'll make a search in the forum, maybe this page is posted somewhere.

The owners manual had the best info I've seen, not the workshop manual. Both are copyrighted so don't ask for a link, and certainly don't post one.

You can order an official non-pirated owner's manual here:

Or your local dealer can get you one too.
