Another stator kaput.
First time I had dead battery, I thought it was a glitch. Second time I was like it ain't right...I always keep battery on tender when not riding.
Bike is 12 DL1000 Adventure.
And then third time, bike died on freeway. Luckily, I first noticed gauges going blank. I pulled over, the engine dies shortly. No start.
I've called local bike shop, they were able to help me in form of a service call to the breakdown location.
Cool guys indeed.
After new battery was installed, I Was able to limp it home.
Come to find out the stator had burnt itself despite passing continuity test. However it failed AC test, one phase shawed 4-12 AC output.
Opened it up and viola!
