Question for SW Motech center stand owners

I'm in the process of reinstalling my salvaged SWM center stand on my K6. I realized that I forgot to save the spacer that bolts onto the exhaust bracket to hold the stand away from the chain. I'm making a new one using JB-Weld and the inside "cup" of a cap from a spray paint can. The diameter is 35mm which I figure is about right. The thing I'm not sure about is the thickness. I'm guessing about 15mm but I'm not sure.

If anyone has a chance, please let me know how thick that spacer is so I can grind mine down to fit.

Thanks!

P.S. I also lost the 8mm Allen bolts that went on the tops of the mounting plates. I just happened to have some 8mm hex head bolts that were the same length. I can't tell you how much easier it was to tighten the right side bolt using an offset wrench instead of trying to thread an Allen wrench through the exhaust.

Spacer

Good guesstimate! I just threw my vernier caliper onto the spacer, and it's exactly 15 mm. Very creative using JB Weld to fab the spacer. If that does not work, you could always just use a stack of washers and a longer bolt. Good luck.

Thanks for confirming my guess!

The JB-Weld worked out pretty well. I drilled a countersunk hole through the disc and bolted it in place. The centerstand seems even smoother than it did on the last one.

On the bad side, I think Zook actually added more warning stickers for 2006. I removed three from the left frame, two from the inner fairing, one from the gas tank, one on the luggage rack, and the one on the chain guard. I left the one inside the underseat box telling me to read the manual. Their other bikes aren't covered with stickers everywhere. It's like they think the V-Strom is an ATV or something.
