1K tire SIZE???

Hoping someone perusing the boards tonight can help me.... I need to know the tire sizes on a DL1K so I can place a Metzeler order tonight. I don't think I can wade through the myriad tire discussions to extract this info (yes, I indeed did a search if this post ruffles anyones feathers).

Thanks in advance for your reply. Oh, and I'll have a set of new OEM tires to sell cheap this time next wk if anyone's interested.

Well, our "official state mammal" is the white tail deer. I almost picked one off the other day, and have hit 2 over the past 8 years. And they still excessively limit our hunting.

My friend there (who is also a friendly LEO) said there are over 4,000 deer-vehicle encounters PER DAY in your state! YIKES!!! My guess is it's probably just a matter of time until the big buck insurance companies go after the lawmakers and get the excessive hunting limits lifted. They'll get tired of paying out claim after claim for deer-related collisions. Something has to give that's for sure. Animal rights is one thing, human safety is another. :!: :!: :!:

May I suggest if you don't already have a HEADLIGHT MODULATOR to consider one. I was told that deer don't respond to a constant light (ah, "deer in headlights") but they DO RESPOND to flashing light (as well as noise, so the TBR pipes helped me to!). I already had a HMod installed on the bike I rode there but I definitely got to road test the theory. Try 10kmi of PA backroads worth of road testing. I firmly believe it was THE difference in multiple near misses for me this summer. I was in a rural area of PA and on a DAILY basis they were everywhere at dusk. Now the Moose in Vermont is a different story altogether as is the Elk here in AZ. I so strongly believe in the HMod that all my bikes have them and I wouldn't consider riding w/o one. In fact, sitting in my garage right now is a new Diamond Star HM that's waiting for the arrival of my new DL1k on Sat-woohoo
