Should this part be hanging loose?

Under the cowling (driver's left side) there is what appears to be the wiring harness connection to the dash controls. The block is about 3" x 2", covered with a rubber sheath. It's just hanging there.

Is this normal? Can't find a reference to it in the DL650 '04 service manual.

The only reason I'm concerned is that I'm trying to eliminate all vibrations from the front end.

Cheers,

Lang

It's normal....wiring junction with a weather protection boot.

Yup, mine hangs there like that.

I had to go into it the other week to wire-up my Acumen DG8 gear position indicator. It sure made it easier with it being loose
