I just recently replaced the stock plate bracket with an SV650 version, from my brother's bike. It moved the plate down about another 1/2" so I have full clearance to the seat keyhole now.

I love this mod and have had several compliments on it. I used to always ride tail b/c I was so self concious of how hideous the ass-end of this bike looked. (OMG I sound like a girl!! But it's true!) Now I ride with pride at the front of the pack - where the BigVee belongs!

Don't mean to hijack this thread but, does anyone whos done this have the reflector, license plate light assembly they would be willing to sell. Came home from a ride 2 days ago and mine was gone. PS chopped my fender also, only just under the license plate.

fender-ectomy

this how my rear fender was done::rolleyes:
the removed section was traced to the short section to retain the factory line

the final result :???:

the edges were sanded with a block w/220 drywall screen to round over the edges and remove any burrs

Any pics of this? So you just used a stock sv650 plate bracket and slapped it right on, no modifications?
