Found HID Xenon kits for $299

Found this while looking on ebay at everything that came up in a search for V-Strom. http://www.blinglights.biz/proddetail.php?prod=7

Looks like a complete kit that only requires mounting the ballasts and installing the bulbs. 2x35W so you would save 40W. Price is $299 which doesn't seem like a bad deal from other kits I have seen posted on here, but I don't have much to reference it on. Could be a good way to be seen and save power too. Assume that since they are just bulbs going into stock housing that they would not have any DOT issues.

Wanted to post this as an option for those wanting to save power. I may look into to this and some LED taillights once I get around to selling my car.

Hmm.. Well, I belong to a Mazda forum that has a couple sponsors that sell HID kits for less than this, with a lifetime warranty. The only issue here is if you simply plug one of these kits into those massive reflector housings on the Strom, you'll absolutely kill other drivers with glare. I'd say you'd never be able to use them on the road. I've done tons of HID research, and in fact I just finished a complete HID retrofit on my Mazda 6, complete with ECE-code HID projectors and a D2S HID kit with a lifetime warranty on all parts. The only way to add HID's to the Strom would be to retrofit some projectors into the existing housings.

Tons of HID information available at www.hidplanet.com.
