JSD-3V Ignition timing dongle review

First I want to to thank everyone for sharing all their information, this has been the best resource for any bike I have ever owned.

I recently purchased the JSD-3V for my dl1k from their website and I wanted to share my results;

Simple 60 sec install. Do not follow the directions! They say to remove all the cowlings and prop the tank. All you have to do is remove the seat, unplug the ecm connectors and plug in the automatic dongle. Took literally 1 min.

This automatic resistor only operates in gears 1-4 so the overdrive light and idle work like stock.

First impressions while riding are much smoother acceleration, feels like a larger carb has ben installed. While it's not a huge difference it may fix other issues that I hear about in low speed and at $45 its worth a try!

Just went out and checked and it does not light. Oh well, didn't see that footnote I guess when I bought it 2 months ago.

When you say 'light', you mean 'lcd display"OD"' right?
